Workers’ compensation affords protection to employees who are injured (or killed) on the job. The workers' compensation carrier for an injured employee's employer is responsible for all of the medical expenses caused by the work injury and is required to pay wages (2/3 of average weekly gross wages) if the injured worker is out of work for more than seven days. As simple as this sounds, it is, unfortunately, not always simple in getting the benefits to which you are entitled. It always takes some time in getting the claim set up, but sometimes the delay is unnecessary and unreasonable, and delays only add to the stress of being injured and out of work. Workers' compensation law is complicated, and getting sound legal advice is invaluable. Attorneys at our firm are experienced in workers’ compensation. An injured worker should not be at the mercy of the adjuster or the rehab nurse. He needs experienced legal advice and guidance from someone of his choosing, who is working for him, and him alone.
